Luna Rica Salted Caramel Nut bar - Bonus sponsored item!
It is gluten free and Non-GMO. I just received this box yesterday, so I haven't gotten the chance to try any of these products yet! I have never tried any Luna bars, so I am very interested if I will like this!
(All subscribers received this item)

This shower gel has notes of Alpine Rose, Sage, Wild Basil, and Autumn Blossom, I have never heard of this brand but am excited to give this shower gel a go!
(All subscribers received this item)

This was one of the customizable options for the Fall 2018 box.  I found this product on Sephora's website for $25 dollars. This is a dual-ended lipstick, with one end having a matte finish and the other being metallic. I look forward to trying this product.

GlamGlow BubbleSheet 2-Pack - Retail value $18
I have used GlamGlow masks in the past and LOVED them but never repurchased because of the price point. I recently ran out of all my face masks, so I am SO excited to try this out over the labor day weekend!
(All subscribers received this item)

Simply Whimsical Tea Towels - Retail value $14.99
Not a very exciting item to receive but a staple in anyone's household whether you rent or own a home. I definetly needed some new tea towels, so I appreciate this item!
(All subscribers received this item)

Only certain subscribers received one of three products by this brand. This facial exfoliant exfoliates dry skin to reveal a radiant and moisturized complexion. This is perfect for the fall/winter season when my skin tends to be more on the dry side. I was actually looking for a new exfoliant the other day at Target, so again perfect timing!!

Catherine Malandrino Umbrella in Black/White Floral - Retail Value $39.99
I recently broke the umbrella I keep at my office, so this will be the perfect replacement! Umbrellas are a staple wherever you go, so definetly an essential item to get!
(Members either got this umbrella or a pair of bluetooth earbuds.)

BeautyBlender - Retail Value $20
I have been using a makeup sponge , very similar to BeautyBlender, for years to apply my face makeup and am so excited to finally get the OG! Makeup just applies seamlessly using a BeautyBlender as opposed to using makeup brushes - it looks so natural!
(All subscribers received this item)

OMG OMG OMG! I did not expect to get a gorgeous tote bag in this box!! This is a stunning everyday tote with a soft interior and a slip pocket to store you keys, phones, lip balm, and more. It is made from a pebbled vegan leather, styled with a contrast strip! Because it is made with vegan leather, you must use a damp cloth to wipe off dirt. Simple, yet stylish enough to use as an everyday carry for school or work! Way to go FabFitFun!!
(Members either received this tote bag or the Crown Brush 6 Piece Brush set)

Alfred Teapot - Retail Value $26

This teapot has a stainless steel lid, a wide-lipped infuser, and a dripless spout to make tea time more enjoyable. I do not currently own a teapot and love drinking tea once the cooler fall weather arrives! Also, can we talk about this adorable blue and floral design!?
(Members got to choose the teapot or a french press)

My final thoughts: My box has a retail value of $361.98 dollars!! I am so impressed with this box because it only cost me $49.99 dollars, so it's worth more than 10 times the price I paid!! I am SO happy with everything in this box and will definetly consider picking up the next seasonal box!

Eye Creams: Which one is for you?

One of my goals for 2018 is to create a new skincare routine. As I am in the late 20s, I want to focus more on my skincare to keep it looking fresh and youthful. Reviews.com reached out to me and asked if I would check out their 'Best of Eye Cream for 2017' guide and I said yes!

Reviews.com took a look at over 300 hundred different eye creams on the market and then discussed them with dermatologists and industry experts. They tested multiple brands across multiple price points and looked at things like packaging, texture, smell, and application. The first thing they did was cut all eye creams with common skin irritants,  such as parabens, fragrances, and mineral oils, which then cut the list down to 119 products.

Second, they looked for  ingredients/formulas that treat the three major concern with eye care: wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness. For wrinkles, they looked for retinoids, which encourages the production of collagen. For dark circles, they looked for caffeine, which helps shrink blood vessels and lessens the dark circles less noticeable. Finally, for puffiness, they looked for caffeine and antioxidants.

To see the finalists in each category, head over to https://www.reviews.com/best-eye-cream/

Do you use an eye cream? If so, share your favorites in the comments section!

Last night I went to the mall with my mom and sisters to see the new Cinderella movie and we stopped into Sephora so I could use my birthday gift card. I picked up three things to add to my makeup collection.

Garnier Moisture Renew Refreshing Gel Cream: A Review

Picture taken with iPhone 6

The past few months have brutally cold in upstate New York and my skin had decided to become very dry from the dry air. I picked this up a few weeks ago from CVS because I wanted something to help with my dry skin. This moisturizer from Garnier is supposed to "lock in moisture for 24 hours and smooth the skin". It is dermatologist tested, oil free, won't clog pored, gentle to skin, allergy tested and non-greasy.  This product contains antioxidant fruit fruit water which is supposed to renew the skins natural functions.

So do I like this moisturizer? Yes! It has definitely helped renew my skin and make it less dry and cracked. It has a slight scent but goes away after you apply to the face. It also has a nice cooling sensation.
Would I repurchase? Yes!
Do I recommend? Yes!

What moisturizer are you currently using?

Que Bella Purifying Tee Tree and Witch Havel Mud Mask: A Review

My skin is currently super broken out and dry from this extremely cold weather, so I didn't try out one of these Que Bella masks that I picked up at Target a few months ago. The mask I tried out is the Que Bella Purifying Tea Tree and Witch Hazel mud mask. This mask is supposed to draw out impurities and make your skin feel revived, which is perfect for the current condition of my skin. This mask doesn't have a very strong smell when you apply to the face. It hardens in about 10-15 minutes. You can feel the tea tree and witch hazel working on your skin. Overall, I recommend this someone who has acne-prone skin. These are extremely affordable, but I have only been able to find these masks at Target.

What is your favorite face mask?

Review: Avon Planet Spa Radiance Moisturizer

I have a whole bunch of review posts this week, so here is the first! I received this moisturizer as part of a swap I did this summer with Laura. I have been using this as my daily moisturizer for the past couple weeks and I have fallen in love with this product! It smells so good and does a great job at moisturizing my skin. I have combination, acne prone skin and this does not irritate my skin. It also has SPF10, which is great to help protest your skin against the sun. I would definitely repurchase this product but I have no clue how I would purchase this product. It is made in Poland and I'm not sure if it is a region specific product to Avon or not. If anybody sells Avon, please let me know if you can purchase this in the USA!

February 2014 My MuseBox & Giveaway!!

I recently received another My MuseBox as I opted for a two month subscription; their subscriptions work a little differently from other services, where it costs $29.99 for every other month. I was surprised to receive this as I got my last box in October.
Here are the goodies I received:

Makeup brush roll with magnetic closure: very nice design, will be useful for future traveling

Prada Visual Skincare samples: Not sure how to use these but I will try them out anyways

Sally Hansen Salon Effects French Mani: These look really fun! I can't wait to apply these!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Eyeshadow Quad: I have never heard of this brand, but the colors are very pretty in this 729 dynamic quad. Let me know if you want a review of this product!

Revlon Baby Stick: I have never tried a product for lip and cheeks, so this will be interesting.
Let me know if you want a product review!

Stila lip glaze stick: This color reminds me of something you'd see straight out of the 1990s decade.
I'm not sure how well this would look with my skin tone and is this a lipstick of lip gloss?

lip elixirs: love me some new lip products!

The best part about this post: I am giving away a second My MuseBox to you guys!
This post is NOT sponsored by My MuseBox. I received a second box in the mail for no apparent reason and I figured, why not give it away!?

Giveaway runs from 2/21/14 to 2/28/14, good luck!

My Christmas Wishlist

Here are a few items on my Christmas wishlist this year:
It's not very exciting because the other things I want are more apartment/living related, such as a knife set and a blender

  • Michael Todd Sensitive Skin Discovery Kit - I have heard great things about Michael Todd and have always want to try some of his products
  • Tiffany's Heart Tag Pendant - Who doesn't want this? I only have one necklace by Tiffany's but have always wanted the Tiffanys Heart Tag Pendant necklace.
  • Keurig - I currently have a boring coffee maker and I think this would more practical because I live by myself
  • Lush Products - I want some bath bombs and other skin care products to try out
  • Target Gift Card - I constantly shop at Target and this would only make me shop there more
  • Starbucks Gift Card - Need I say more? I only go to Starbucks once and a while because it's a little pricy and I try to avoid all the calories in the drinks

September 2013 Favorites!

I know I am doing this post a little late but better late than never, right? I decided to do my September favorites in a blog post rather than a video because I have been sick the past week and posts have been so much easier to write up!

some links are affiliate links

This has been my go-to face moisturizer for the past few months! It does a nice job at moisturizing your skin and it also helps fight your acne! This leaves your skin feeling smooth and calm.

These eyeshadows were sent to me by Sigma when I won the July Affiliate Challenge. They have very nice pigmentation and are easy to work with. My only negative is that they do have some fall out if they are worn for over an right hour period.

I don't think I have to say much about this palette except that it is a must have for everyone's beauty collection. It it so easy to work with and makes the prettiest neutral eye look. Each color can be worn on their own or combined with other shades.

This eyeliner glides on the water line so smoothly and has pretty good lasting power on me

I love this mascara! It is my new favorite from the drugstore. It does a great job at giving your lashes volume and length. I wear it everyday and highly recommend!

I have gone back to using this powder again as it givers more coverage than my Rimmel Stay Matte

Other Favorites: My new handbag and my new coffee table!

What were your September Favorites?

June 2013 Favorites!

I only have five favorites for this month of June because I was transitioning into apartment living.
The products:
1) Clean & Clear essentials foaming facial cleanser - I like this for several reasons. First, because it does not break me out or dry out my skin. Second, it is a great price. I bought mine on sale for less than $5 dollars!
2) Bath & Body Works Ocean Citrus Anti-Bac Hand Soap - I bought this on sale for $3 dollars during Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual sale and it smells amazing! It also matches the color scheme of my bathroom, blues!
3) Bath & Body Works White Citrus Body Spray - This is my favorite body spray at the moment, it is such a fresh scent!
4) Sephora Instant Eye Makeup Remover - This stuff actually works! I am starting to fall in love with Sephora's collection of products! It will take me a LONG time to finish this product because a little goes a long way!
5) Covergirl Clump Crusher Waterproof Mascara - This mascara does a great job at lengthening and voluminzing my lashes but it is the farthest from being waterproof! I would not use this is you are looking for a waterproof mascara but besides that it's a really great mascara from the drugstore!

What are your June favorites??

xx Liz

The Skincare Tag!

Jess from Just Jess recently did this tag video and I have seen it going around the blogging world and though it would make a nice addition to my blog!

Google

Describe your skincare in five words:
Cleanse, Moisturizer, Tone, Sleep, Natural

What's your skin type?
I have combination skin. My skin is dry and gets oily in my t-zone.

What's your favorite skincare product?
Mine would be my daily moisturizer, which is my Sephora Instant Moisturizer  It does wonders for my dry and skin and I discovered it from watching youtube videos!

Top blemish zapper:
I haven't found one product that works very great for this but the ELF Zit Eraser is what I currently use to reduce size and redness of acne.

Face wipes - yay or nay?
Yay! I could not live without face wipes. I use them everyday to remove my makeup. I also use a face wash in the shower every morning to remove anything the wipes did not take off the previous evening.

Toner - yay or nay?
Eh? I haven't notice that toner makes a huge difference in my skincare routine. I use it once or twice a week, if I remember.

High-end skincare or high-end makeup?
There are a lot of great high-end skincare products but I would prefer to spulrge on high end makeup because there are so many great drugstore skincare products on the market!

What's the most unusual skincare product you've ever tried?
Toothpaste. I have tried using toothpaste on acne to reduce redness and all it does it make a mess on my face :)

You're in a French pharmacy and can only pick one item - what is it?
I have no idea! I have never been to France and don't know of any French makeup/skincare brands!

Tell us your top skincare tip:
Always take off your makeup before you go to bed!

Do you enjoy skincare or makeup more? Let me know in the comments what your favorite skincare products are!

xx Liz

Small Sephora Haul!

I placed an order with Sephora over the weekend because I received a $15 dollar coupon through an email. So, I ordered three things! I know it's almost Christmas but I wanted to treat myself :)

Benefit They're Real Mascara - $23.00
This is my all time favorite mascara and I finally splurged and bought a full size!

Sephora by OPI nail polish in Ruby Without A Cause
I have been wanting some new nail polish for a while now and saw this color and had to order it!
It is a dark, shimmery wine color with some duo-chrome in the light. I will definitely do a blog post when I wear ir!

Sephora Instant Moisture Kit
My skin has been terrible lately so I want to try out some new skincare products and everybody raves about Sephora's skincare line, so I bought this little sample kit (it was on sale too!). It comes with a Cleansing Foam, Instant depuffing roll-on gel and an Instant Moisturizer! I will totally do a review if I enjoy these products!

Have you bought any goodies from Sephora lately?
