Sick Day Essentials

Happy Monday!

If you are reading this, I am happy and well. My husband and I BOTH caught the flu this past week and boy, was it a dozy! I haven't worked out in over a week and will probably be taking it easy for a while until I fully recover. I don't really have a ton to share, so here are some of my sick day essentials if you have a cold or the flu:

1. Cough drops

2. Dayquil/Nyquil
This stuff just helps with all the things from headache to sore throat to congestion

3.Tissues!

Tissues are a necessity because your nose will probably
be leaking like the kitchen sink. I always get the ones with lotion
because they don't cause your nose to get all dry and chaffed.

4. Tea
A hot cup of tea really helps when you have a sore throat or a bad cough.
Echinacea tea is really great when you're sick, I highly recommend!
You should avoid caffeinated drinks like coffee because can cause
you to become dehydrated!

5. Chicken Noodle Soup

Nothing makes me feel better than a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup!

6. Netflix/Hulu/Youtube

You'll probably be doing lots of sleeping and laying in bed,
so I'd definetly recommend a good
streaming service. You can get caught up on your favorite show,
or finally watch that movie you have been meaning to see.

Here's to feeling better and recovering from the cold and/or flu!

What are your sick day essentials?

Planning a Baby Shower - Baby Shower Invites

This post is sponsored by Basic Invite. Thank you for supporting my little corner of the internet! All opinions are my own!

I have several friends who are currently pregnant, due to have their babies this spring and summer. The baby shower is a gathering of women to celebrate the upcoming birth of baby girl or boy. Although I am not having a baby anytime soon, I know I will be helping plan a baby shower in the near future and of course, I will be helping with the invites! So when I started looking for baby shower invites on the internet, these were some of my favorites!

Basic invites has hundreds of baby shower invite designs that come in almost unlimited color variation or more than 180 different colors! When you change a single element on the baby shower invite, you get an instant preview so you know that the invite is designed exactly for your event!

I think what's so hard about online shopping for cards or really anything is that you know what you are truly getting until it arrives on your doorstep. Basic Invite allows you to order a printed sample before your final order so you can see the paper quality and exactly how the invite is printed.

When choosing your invites, you also have to choose your envelopes. Basic Invite allows customers to chose from over 40 envelope colors to make your invites stand out even before they are opened!

Basic Invite also has this unique address capturing service where you can share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any social media handle and your guests can provide their addresses for their recipient address on the cards. Receipt address printing is available for Christmas card printing at no cost!

And ladies, Foil is available in gold, silver, and rose gold. You can choose flat or raised foil to bring your baby shower tea party invitations to the next level!

Basic Invite also has designs for weddings, birthdays, parties, graduations, and many other special events!
