Guest Post - Changing Your Makeup for Spring

Hey Beauties, Ahhhh it's that time again...Spring and that means it's time to ditch the heavy eyeliner, dark eye shadows and step into Spring (haha spring get it?) by updating our makeup with fresh, soft and light shades of makeup.
I for one am very happy to embrace Spring, I have decided to switch tactics this year and actually ditch the eyeliner in favour of a light eye shadow and a clean base. Gone are the days of bronzer and heavy foundation for me.I have never been one to go bare or without eyeliner at all, but this year I am determined to step out of my comfort zone and start opting for the 'lighter' look.
This Spring the Cat Walks have inundated us with 'just there' light eye shadows, bright skin and in some cases (yes Dolce & Gabbana I'm looking at you) no eye shadow or liner has been used at all. This Spring it's all about the nude eyes, glowing skin, and coral or bright red lips. Here is a few of my favourite Models at the shows and celebrities sporting the look;
Dolce & Gabbana
Missoni
Rochas
Johanthan Saunders

Miranda Kerr

To get Miranda's Lips use Mac Ruby Woo Lipstick £14.00
Jessica-Chastain
To get Jessica's skin she likes to use YSL Touche Ecalt Foundation £26.50
Hayden Panettiere
To get Hayden's glow use the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick £32.50
Are you changing up your Makeup this Spring? Let me know Beauties.

xoxo

50 Free Business Cards

After doing some research, I saw that many bloggers have their own business to give out when they attend events, tradeshows, etc. so I thought it would be a cool idea to design my own.

I created these business cards on MOO.com which is a website dedicated to designing business cards. I decided to use my blog header as the main piece on my cards and tried to keep them very simple, including my full name, email, blog and youtube channel. These cards are printed on good quality paper. The only thing I don't like is the Moo label on the cards, but that is probably because these were free, all I paid was shipping.

To get your free 50 business cards, click here.

What do you think of my business cards??

HelloCotton is no more!?

Hi beauties! I was working on cleaning up  my blog and I noticed that my HelloCotton link lead to a French version of the website. If you didn't know this already, the website closed just a few short weeks ago. I don't know if this applies to versions of the site is different languages but it definitely closed for all American bloggers.

So, it looks like they made the announcement on Twitter but I never got an email or any other notification that the stie was closing. If you followed my blog via HelloCotton, I apologize for not letting you know that site was closing.

You can always stay updated by following me on Twitter.

Makeup Collection & Storage - Spring 2013

Here is my updated makeup collection and storage for spring 2013!
I absolutely love my new setup and find it works really get for me!
The acrylic case and brush holders are from MUJI, which is a store similar to the Container Store.
The case shipped very quickly and is holding up quite well; I've had it for a few month now.

How do you store your makeup?

IMATS NYC Haul 2013

On Sunday, April 7th, 2013 I attended NYC IMATS, which stands for the international makeup artist trade-show. I also did a tiny bit of shopping in NYC. It was so crazy in the stores, that it made it difficult to do some hardcore shopping for Spring and Summer clothes!
Things I bought at IMATS:
1) Stila Loves Roxy Palette
2) Stilla Making Spirits Bright Palette
3) Kabuki Brush, Shader Brush and Blending Brush

Things I bought in NYC:
1) Sephora Instant Moisturizer
2) LUSH Sexy Peel Soap

*We waited a really long time to buy the Stila items but their prices were awesome! I got two palettes for $20 dollars!
*I was really bummed because NYX was not at IMATS this year. I tried to buy some of their products last year but it was at least an hour wait to buy anything! I wasn't very thrilled with the brands at IMATS this year but you never know, maybe next year better brands will go!

Did you go to IMATS this year?

Spring Drugstore Haul

Wow, long time no post! I have been so busy these last few weeks, I haven't had time to sit down and write up a post. I managed to time a small window today to write a post up about a little shopping I did today! I am also going to NYC IMATS tomorrow, April 7th!

So, this is what I bought at Target and Walmart!

1) Rimmel BB Cream - I have heard really great things about this BB Crea, so I decided to buy it.
2) New Rimmel 60 Second Nail Polishes - I bought four of these lovelies because they only cost  $1.50 at Walmart! I am very curious to see if they are worth it or not. They have a great color selection and for the price, you can't beat it!
3) Maybelline Baby Lips - I already own the baby lips in Quenched and I am loving it! I saw this one and though, why not? They do a great job at moisturizing your lips and they also have SPF 20!

Have you gone shopping lately??
