My Birthday Wishlist

*some links are affiliate links*

My 25th birthday is February 17th and here are a few things on my birthday wish list:

iMac - My current MacBook Pro is about to hit the pan, so I would love to invest in a brand new desktop computer from Apple. The model I want is the 21.5 inch, 2.7 GHz! It a hefty price of $1299.00 but it would be well worth the splurge because my current laptop has lasted almost 5 years!

Ikea Micke Desk - I currently have the Leksvik desk and don't get me wrong I love it, but it takes up way too much space in my small apartment. My fiance is moving in with me soon and we are going to convert my spare room into in office. We will need to fit two desks, a tv stand, and some shelves, so I want to downsize to a more compact desk, that also has more storage than my current one.

Milk Frother - I really want to be able to make Chai Tea Lattes at home and I forget who I watched on YouTube but I really want to get a milk frother to make the yummy foam!

Alex & Ani bracelets - I want to grow my collection of these trendy bracelets. I want three in particular, the E Initial, the Aquarius bangle, and the February Birthstone bangle.

Fall 2014 Wishlist

These are a few things I have been lusting over lately. I currently the Naked Basics palette and heard a lot of good things about the Naked Basics 2 palette. I am an Apple product lover and would love to add an iPad Mini to my electronics collection. I would be able to bring the iPad Mini on weekend trips with me and still be able to keep up with blogging, because let's face it, blogging on your iPhone is not an easy take! The last two items are flats. I am in desperate need of some new flats for fall and these two are on the expensive side! Tieks go for around $175 and Tory Burch flats go for about $225, both are very expensive compared to the normal flats I will buy from Target or Payless. I would really love to order these flats but I have a hard time not being able to try a pair of shoes on in the store before purchasing them, especially because I have wider feet.

What's on your current wishlist?

How to: Install Fonts on a Mac

In today's post, I am going to demonstrate how to download fonts onto a Mac.

Download your Font

There are many great sites to download fonts from but here are a few:

  • You can also find fonts via Pinterest

Close All Programs

Before you install the fonts, make sure all applications and/or programs are closed to ensure the installation goes smoothly.

Find your font

Most of the time, fonts get downloaded to the Downloads folder on a Mac.

Now, find the font you downloaded

Double-Click on the folder to see the font files. Typically you will see a file with the .ttf extension.

Install the font

Double-click on the font file. This will open a small window. In the bottom right-hand corner, click on the install button. This will add the font to your font library.

*This may be different depending on what operating system your Mac has, ie OS X, Mountain Lion, etc.

Other Ways to Install

After you download the font, you can simply copy the .ttf files and add them to the Font folder located within the Library.

Path: /Users/yourusernamehere/Library/Fonts (for all my geeks out there :))

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me =)
