December Monthly Goals 2018

December is going to be a great catch up month for me because I don’t have any classes for grad school until January so I have put together a list of things I want to accomplish this month!

1. Reorganize my office/craft room
My office has become a dumping ground basically since we moved into our house. I want to get all new furniture and completely redo my office this month. I have some extended vacation time at end of month, so I am hoping to get this done so I can share it with you all!

2. Exercise
My goal for December is to get to the gym at least 2-3 times a week. I have been very lazy the last couple months, so now is the perfect to get back into a routine before all the new people join in January.

3. Read
I have many books on my to-read list that I really want to try and read 5 books this month. I have really enjoyed getting back into this reading when I was on vacation, so it’s the perfect time to snuggle up with a good book.

4. Spent time with friends and family
This is a no-brained for the holidays but since I have some extra free time I want to try and make it a habit to spend more time with friends and family.

5. YouTube/ Blog
My goal for YouTube is to upload 2-3 times a week this month while I have extra time. I would also really like upgrade my filming camera but we will see about that. I would also like to blog at least once a week since I recently upgraded my layout.
What are your goals for this month?

The Christmas Tag!

So, who is getting excited for Christmas? It is less than two weeks away!

1. What time of year do you start your Christmas shopping?
This year I started early and made my first purchase in October. I still have quite a few things to get, so hopefully this weekend I will be completely done!

2. Do you have any festive recipes for food or drink you limit solely to the Christmas season to share?
I am not the best cook in the world, so I don't have anything special I tend to eat or drink around the holidays, except for Hot Chocolate :)

3. Tell me how Christmas goes down in your home?
Every year my siblings wake up around 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning. They wind up waking me up because I am not a morning person. We are allowed to open our stockings but have to wait until my mom and dad are awake to unwrap our presents. My mom usually cooks a nice breakfast and then we just hang around the house until other people come to the house. We will then get ready to head to another family members house but no sure what our plans are this year.

4. Do you have any Christmas traditions?
We decorate cookies at my grandmother's house. We also always watch The Polar Express on Christmas Eve before going to bed.

5. Do you have a favorite festive coffee?
I love coffee but I am not a big fan of many flavored coffees, s I ten to stick to just regular old black coffee with cream and sugar.

6. Do you have a favorite Christmas song?
If I had to choose, two of my favorites are Carol of the Bells and O Holy Night.

7. What do you do on Christmas Eve?
We will go to church/service/mass and we always watch The Polar Express before heading to bed.

8. What's your Christmas wrapping strategy?
I don't have any strategy when it comes to wrapping and I usually wait until the last minute to wrap because this of year seems to alway be so busy!

9. What's your dream gift this year?
I don't have a dream gift but I would love to get a Keurig.

10. Describe your Christmas tree? How tall? Real or artificial? How is it decorated?
My tree is fake and definitely taller than me being only 5 foot 2 inches. It was white LED lights and blue, purple, and silver ornaments.

11. Do you decorate just the tree or other area's of your house?
Right now, all I have is my tree decorated and a few decorations scattered throughout my apartment. I plan on doing a holiday decor video soon on my youtube channel!

12. What do you wear on Christmas day?
I usually wear a nice sweater and some jeans, I usually don't get too dressed up.

RIP Penny

This picture was taken yesterday, 9/15/13

Today has been a hard day. Today my Mom had to put down our family dog, Penny. She was 17 years old, which means I knew her since I was 6 years old. She was a mutt and she was a very good dog. She never gave us any problems. Over the last four or five years, her health has turned for the worse. We believe she has deaf and partially blind. I will miss her with my whole heart. My mom said that when they gave her the sedative, she was feisty until her last breath. RIP Penny 9/16/13

I Am Thankful For...

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
Today is Thanksgiving is America and I thought I would share with you what I am most thankful for this year.

  1. I am thankful for my family. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
  2. I am thankful for my friends. They support me in all my decisions and I am forever grateful for that.
  3. I am thankful that I have a warm home. Many people are homeless or without heat, so I am thankful I can stay warm on a cold night.
  4. I am thankful for food. Many people get maybe a handful of rice for a day and I am thankful to be able to have three meals a day.
  5. I am thankful for clean water. I am thankful to have clean water to bathe in and drink.
  6. I am thankful for the little things in life that make me happy, music, books, and even a cup of coffee.
  7. I am thankful for the support of the people who read my blog, watch my videos, follow my tweets or my tumblr.
What are you thankful for?
