My New Fitness Routine!!

Over the last few months, I have gained a little bit of weight. I normally weigh around 112 lbs but my weight fluctuated to around 120 lbs recently. Now, considering I am only 5'2", that is a little higher than usual and I have noticed the weight gain mainly in my stomach and thigh areas.

I have officially decided to start working out *YAY*

I don't really intend on working out to lose weight because if I lose too much weight, it will be unhealthy. I have decided on a simple workout regiment that will fit easily into my current schedule. I want to be healthier and to tone my body.

So right now, I plan on doing cardio about 2-3 times a week by going to 30 minute walks. I can either go by myself, with a friend or even by walking my dog! For toning, I plan on doing some sort of home workout video, such as Pilates, Tae-bo, or the Wii Fit. I want to do these types of workouts twice a week. Pilates is great for toning your core areas! Tae-bo is basically a form of kick-boxing that is a pretty intense workout. The Wii Fit could be for those days where I am feeling lazy and want to do something more simple.

  1. Look into the Jillian Michaels DVDs. I think 30 Day Shred would be good for you. Being super overweight it gets my heart going and even I can make it through the first workout at least (haven't tried the other two yet).

  2. And if you get it, look for a couple of 3 pound hand weights - you'll need them.
